Okoto Keeps It Real

Okoto has a theme. At first I didn’t know what that theme was and then I started noticing that many of their shirts had a laid-back style with some green/ocean imagery. Couple those two characteristics with the surfer “type tees”, and the theme was beginning to take form… The peeps behind Okoto are pretty serious about the ocean and it shows throughout their work. I am impressed with how well they keep the focal point of the ocean in all of their apparel, the look of their site, photographs, their bios, and everywhere else in their brand. That’s called keeping it real in my book. There wears are worth a few looks and even worth a purchase if you relate to that style of clothing. A portion of the proceeds could go to a list of different charities they are contributors to . Here is a screenshot of some of their goods: Now I have to confess. The icing on the cake and the most compelling reason why I did a write up on the brand was the last thing they mentioned in an e-mail I received. Not only were they hustling their clothing line by a traditional online shop, but they were also still submitting designs to a t-shirt design contest. Again, let me say, that is keeping it real. At this point with the investment and amount of products they have in their apparel line, they really don’t have to put forth the effort in the t-shirt design contests anymore. They could make the excuse that they have to market their brand every chance they get. But staying a part of the T-shirt community has earned them this post and a new fan.

Additional Information -CJ event has been extended to May 7, 2010. -Each order will include a CJ cell phone key chain. -50 random items will be signed by CJ players. -Customers get approved within 24 hours so do not create multiple accounts. -Friday & Saturday the shipping quotes get updated so it will appear as No quotes available to some people. -Success of each team means more teams get added. -Keyboard bag can be used as a school bag, fits 15.6 laptops, fits pretty much all keyboards, padding on the inside along with multiple pockets for accessories. -Keyboard is authentic straight from Samsung, PS/2 ones are the real ones, USB ones are usually fake. -Only a few t-shirts are available and mostly in a small size, shirts will not be restocked because those are the only ones left. -2009/2010 CJ T-Shirts will be available if the request is high. -Site will be down for maintenance from May 8, 2010 to May 16, 2010. -If the CJ sales go well a new team will be introduced on May 17, 2010. -Each teams merchandise will only be available for a month (estimate) and then a new team will appear.
