You have to wonder how many t-shirt design there would be about Arrested Development had the show actually continued production over the past few years, it seems almost bizarre that a show that was relatively short-lived still gets so much attention from the indie t-shirt communtiy. Still, if you like it, I’m cool with it. Costiness=$25 Buy it at Powerup Apparel Arrested Development, more tees than episodes is a post from: Hide Your Arms...

This tee has to be old because it was made to celebrate Japanese artist Kami’s cover of Giant Robot issue #56, I own that issue and I haven’t GR for many, many moons. But just because it’s old doesn’t make it fresh, much like the pastrami I’ve got in my fridge it seems to be getting better with age (or staying exactly the same, it’s probably a mental thing), because this tee is damn clean and damn nice. This tee is actually sold out so if you liked it and weren’t happy before… maybe you should go play with a kitten or something to cheer yourself up. This is actually a quote from Louis C.K., the hilarious comedian that I saw perform in Philly about a year ago, and regular readers will be well aware by now of how much I enjoy reminiscing about my three-month skint in the city of brotherly love. Louis makes a fair point, we have loads...

As a warning to those of you clicking through to the Guy Vernes site, it’s all flash, and it starts playing music when you load it. Those are two things that are generally frowned upon by me, and probably quite a lot of you too. That said, as far as Flash sites go, it’s a very nice one, and does at least justify the use of Flash with a few nifty tricks. Costiness=€29.95 Buy it at Guy Vernes Micassassins by Guy Vernes is a post...

Long story short, Lowdtown is closing down for a while because my man Ray (designer of the HYA logo, and therefore designer of the HYA tee ) had a logo for Lowdtown that looked a lot like a design by someone else, and that other guy had copyright. Ray is a straight-shooter so I know he’s being honest when he says he didn’t know about the other design, it wouldn’t be worth the trouble for him to rip somone when he has enough...

Dear Infographic, Thanks a lot for saying just about everything that I needed to…. however, it would have been nice if you mentioned that Crazy Go Lucky are also running a pre-order experiment in which they’ve put a few design up for pre-order and if that design reaches 24 pre-orders they will print the tee, if they don’t reach that number the people that made pre-orders will get their money back. Stay Frosty, Andy March Madness...

HYA x Eraser Tees Competition: Tee Stacking from Andrew Bowness on Vimeo . That was a pretty fun video to make, and this time around instead of it taking 52 takes, I got it on the first try. Well, obvious I was only going to do the stacking once, but I got done the intro first time. I’m a little disappointed with the amount of tees that I managed to stack, perhaps I should have practised a bit before trying it out for the competition,...

It’s kind of strange to think that I’m a few months older than a movie that’s regarded as a classic of the 80s, I guess that means I’m officially becoming an old, old man, especially since I have a bad back after my not-actually-that-long hike at the weekend. Anyway, my impending frailty aside, this is a cool hoodie …  Read More →

This tee is at TeeFury , so there is a chance that by the time you read this unfortunately it won’t be available, which is the only problem I have with “tee a day” sites and why I don’t mentioned them much on HYA. If you’re after daily updates on those kind of sites, popculturetees and teemagnet will treat you well. Regular readers will know that I have quite a large soft spot for Hokusai inspired designs , and...

The e-mail described these tees as being part of an artist series, so it’s a fair bet that we’ll be seeing more collaborations from Johnny Cupcakes in the near-future. They’re both good tees (though I feel that the print on the back of each tee explaining that it’s a collaboration tee is a bit much), and it is nice to see a JC tee that is in a different style for a change since it felt like they were getting a bit too...
