Isn’t it weird the way that certain types of data representation become popular? I can’t remember what ruled the roost last year (bar graphs? Pie charts?), but infographics are certainly dominant this year. Yes, I realise that inforgraphic is a pretty broad term, but I’m sure you know what I mean. I mentioned earlier this week that the British festival season was entering it’s tail-end (I always think of Reading/Leeds...

I like this, it feels as if someone inputted Ryu and Ken into the iPhone Pantone app and this is what spilled out. Actually, in my experience, the Pantone palette result wouldn’t look much like the reality, but it’s still a cool app. Solid concept, well executed, good work AshRB, and good work to Coty for finding it . I know that title might make you think that I’m not impressed with Seventh.Ink ’s fall line, but I like it, I justed to try and show some kind of objectivity with one of my advertisers. I would write about them whether they were or weren’t helping to keep the server running and the HYA jet filled with supermodels, …  Read More →

I guess one of the things that Glenn Beck does right is be so maddeningly frustrating that the people who love him hang on his every word, and the people that hate him do the same, even though they know that it will turn them into a ball of rage, which explains why you’ve got 2 Glenn Beck posts on HYA in a week , though at least this time it’s because I’m fighting against the forces of evil. You might remember a few weeks ago...

When you hear about a brand called Dark Eart 666 you get the feeling that their target demographic are people that play music ear-bleedingly loud, and after band practise throw petrol bombs into the closest church before relaxing with a body-temperature glass of goats blood… but actually they aren’t all that hardcore by the looks of things, in fact they make some pretty damned wearable designs, and that’s coming from the guy...

Pixelated tees are hardly a new concept, but that doesn’t stop this tee with a definitely-unidentifiable character on it from being really cool, good work Reece! Costiness=£15.81 Buy it at MySoti Pixel M by Reece Ward at MySoti is a post from: Hide Your Arms – a t-shirt & hoodie blog  Read More →

I don’t really know much about Stolen Good(ie)s, but they’ve got a lot of cool tees, quite a lot of which run along a theme of “African country + a number + a cool graphic.” The sad part is that those numbers and graphics relate to depressing statistics, for example, the ‘57′ in this design relates to “57% of children under the age of five suffering from moderate to severe stunted growth.” Costiness=$25...

I’ve never heard of the film North Shore , which this shirt was inspired by, but apparently it exists and is “a poor man’s Karate Kid – only with waves and longboards.” However, my lack of familiarity with the film doesn’t make me like the tee any less, hell it probably makes me like it more since in the film the design is apparently printed onto a vest. Costiness=$21.95 Buy it at Found Item Clothing Rage...

The folks over at CHRMNG sent me the tee you can see above and whilst I’m yet to wear it, the print quality definitely impressed me, so they get a seal of approval for me. Something else I approve of is 25% off coupon codes to encourage people to part with even more cash at the start of the school year. The coupon code is ILOVESCHOOL and I have no idea when it will expire. Coupon code for 25%  Read More →

It’s a bank holiday weekend here in the UK so I’m going to be taking it off from posting, sure, it’ll probably mean that this isn’t a record breaking month of traffic for HYA (but we aren’t far off, thanks a lot for visiting everyone!), but I can’t be chained to this computer all week! I’m heading down to my old University in Leicester for a reunion with my old housemates, and we’ll actually be...

I mentioned Toybox Apparel last week (maybe this week, or the week before, I’ve lost all concept of time with all the projects I’m working on), and lo and behold, they launched a sale with all shirts down to $15, so if you checked them and liked them but felt the price was a little much for you, it might be worth checking again. No word on when the sale will be ending. ToyBox Apparel Sale is a post from: Hide Your Arms – a...

It’s hard to trust a company that says they’re overstocked on items, how can you really be ‘overstocked’ unless you’re selling wacky waving inflatable arm men , but let’s not look a gifthorse in the mouth, Regal Clothing have got a whole host of tees on sale for just £10 , and that’s a good thing. £10 tees at Regal Clothing is a post from: Hide Your Arms – a t-shirt & hoodie blog  Read More →

Urban Retro was a name that whilst kind of generic and bland, at least you kind of knew what you were getting when you clicked a link, whereas Candy Pulse is a bit more ambiguous, even if it does sound an awful lot cooler. Quite a lot of their items (iPhone skins, vinyl toys, plush toys) do share many similarities with candy, you know you shouldn’t have them but really want them, and eventually give in and tell yourself this is the last...

The thing about Foursquare is, I’m on it, but I don’t know why, because I only know one of my local friends that are on it, and no local businesses offer anything for checking in at venues, so if I become a makor of a venue, it means even less than usual! Still, the graphics on the interface are pretty sweet, which I guess is why I keep on using it, to get those badges for no particular reason, but hey, if you’re in a place,...
