Isn’t it weird the way that certain types of data representation become popular? I can’t remember what ruled the roost last year (bar graphs? Pie charts?), but infographics are certainly dominant this year. Yes, I realise that inforgraphic is a pretty broad term, but I’m sure you know what I mean. I mentioned earlier this week that the British festival season was entering it’s tail-end (I always think of Reading/Leeds...

Indeed, last night something did happen, Graham Linehan (aka @Glinner ) tweeted about my IT Crowd t-shirt posts, which was then retweeted by rather a lot of people, causing what I think is the largest amount of traffic I’ve received on a Sunday, giving the site a bit of a meltdown (until I got home and cranked up the resources), and presumably putting a bit of pressure on me to continue my IT Crowd shirt posts now that a lot more fans...

I’ve never got into vinyl, I can see the appeal, and there is definitely something cool about it, but I just know I’d end up breaking my whole collection someday, so my issue with the format is that I don’t feel it is forever. I’m sat here wearing a Chalk Brighton t-shirt called ‘ Soul ‘ ( see ), and whilst I’m not particularly into soul music, I like the shirt, it’s well put together, and it looks good. They’ve followed that tee with one that it similar in concept, but they have cranked it up a notch in terms of music geekery. All the tracks listed…  Read More →

What do you imagine if you read the word “art”? I would imagine something that is absurd, vague, and can’t be understood. This happened because I don’t know how to “see” an art. Until Deep Shirts come and explain about how to read an art through the design of their t-shirts, women’s shirts The Vision Of Art ($24.99). This t-shirt is a reminder to see art in a different angles and to look behind what is in front of us....

Now that is a really wearable piece of anthropomorphism! Here Be Robots are a newish brand from Holland, and they’re all about… To get a feel ofwhat it stands for, think of comics, cartoons, old school video games, old music, retro stuff, that kinda vibe. Of course, as the name implies, it’s visualized as robots. Which is a solid concept if you ask me, not a huge range to speak of at the moment (3 tees in-store), but if you...

Everybody knows Bob Dylan . He has been known for five decades, and I love his songs that talk about social critique, anti-war, and civil rights. He is an artist and a social fighter as well. Bob’s greatness is that he is able to apply all kinds of music nicely into his songs. How can’t we love him? And if you adore Bob, then you should adore this guy as well. He is Bruce Springsteen . Do you remember him? This guitarist, in addition...

As a warning to those of you clicking through to the Guy Vernes site, it’s all flash, and it starts playing music when you load it. Those are two things that are generally frowned upon by me, and probably quite a lot of you too. That said, as far as Flash sites go, it’s a very nice one, and does at least justify the use of Flash with a few nifty tricks.
